IDIOMATIC I.

Jeanine Deibel

Heads will roll.

A deathblow. Take the cake.

Tide me over. Talk a blue

streak. The word is out.

Ships in the night. Foam

at the mouth. Go by

the boards. By the book.

Get your sea legs.

Make waves. At the fore.

Bluestocking. Quick study.

Keep your head above

water. May the best man

win. Bunk. Horns of a di-

lemma. Argue the toss.

Beat a path to the door.

Sea change. Avowed intent.

Boil to the surface. Spare

me. Spadework. The plot

thickens. Sell the farm.
