We were walking down the street past one of those shops, holding hands, when we caught ourselves in the window. There were trains running around in circles behind the glass and a stuffed Giraffe leaning into some kind of book stack you get for a kid with the flu. You smiled and held my hand tighter and I looked at us, standing there in the reflection and thought, "Just how bad are these people going to hurt me?"
